Special awareness drives are organized to spread awareness on promoting health and preventing disease. The NSS unit is instrumental in these programs.
We go beyond the traditional boundaries of dentistry and conduct programs in the adopted villages on issues ranging from legal awareness, environmental issues, agricultural technologies etc.
Radio Vishnu 90.4 CR, the community radio located in the campus telecasts programs that are innovative and reflective of the diverse voices of our campus and surrounding community. We make good use of this unique opportunity, which no other dental college in our state has. Health talks are given in Radio Vishnu by the students as well as the faculty in order to increase the awareness on oral health and general health.
Impact of the programs:
These services have increased the awareness of surrounding communities on the importance of the oral health. The dental care utilization rate is increased in the areas where the program is implemented.
