Vishnu Dental College has a unique combination of visionary management and dedicated faculty that meticulously executes vision into action. Vishnu Dental College and Hospital was established in 2002 in a sprawling green campus in the outskirts of Bhimavaram, with a mission to provide utmost quality oral health care to the communities and foster the development of dental professionals.

Experience of an individual or an institution cannot be simplistic calculation, based on the number of years that were passed, but by the amount of introspection into these years and number of lessons drawn. After establishing the fundamental value system, we left no stone unturned to learn from our own experiences and also from those of other premier institutes in India and abroad.

In this sense, VDC has garnered enormous experience and earned unique reputation in patient care and student training. We are quick to understand changing trends and adopt the best practices from across the globe. VDC offers state of the art learning opportunities to the students through its initiatives like Small group teaching, flipped learning, Intellectual learning practices etc. Innovation has become a tradition at VDC; we have introduced and sustained various innovative practices such as faculty development programs, comprehensive clinics etc.

The seeds of education will be fruitful only when it meets the needs of the students.

The institution has gradually replaced teacher-centric teaching methods with student-centric learning methods. An amalgamation of teachers-par excellence, infrastructure with cutting edge technology in equipment’s and materials and excellent patient exposure is the hallmark of this institution.

The institution is making sustained efforts towards consolidation of the state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities for teaching; and attracting highly qualified and motivated staff into the existing pool. Library, with its rich collection of books and journals, offers an ideal environment for learning. Hostels are spacious and hygienic.
Vishnu campus is a paradise for fitness freaks and sports lovers. Separate gymnasia with modern fitness equipment are available for boys and girls. There are separate playgrounds for boys and girls with well-maintained jogging tracks.

This is the only dental college in South India with a Community Radio Station and TV Academy in the campus, which provide an opportunity for students to sharpen their communication skills. There are ample of opportunities for the students to participate in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities which help the student to grow into a professional with multitude of skills, while keeping the thrust on academic activities.

The college is affiliated to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada and is recognized by the Dental Council of India, New Delhi.
