Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD)
Our Hospital has state of art “Central sterile supply department”(CSSD),
It plays a crucial role in uninterrupted supply of various instruments required for patient care. It has 3tier unidirectional workflow system involving soiled zone, clean zone and sterile zone. CSSD is well equipped with fully automated horizontal, high pressure, high vacuum steam sterilizers, washer disinfector and ultrasonic cleaner.
CSSD - PG Orientation Programme 2024
An orientation program was organized for the first-year MDS students from all departments by the Department of Central Sterile Services (CSSD), held from October 25 to October 29, 2024. This program provided postgraduate students with valuable insights into several key areas, including:
- Why reprocessing?
- Introduction to CSSD.
- Cleaning and Disinfection of Instruments.
- Bio-enzymatic solutions.
- Water and air quality in CSSD.
- Indicators and Sterilization.
