Highlights

We are training our undergraduate and postgraduate students to practice ergonomics (PD concept) during patient care. This PD concept in dental practice helps in averting work-related musculoskeletal disorders as well as improves clinician’s comfort and productivity. This concept uses specially designed PD instruments that are lighter in weight and minimises fatigue on fingers. We also follow the concept in school dental health programs by using flat tables and 12 o’clock operator positions to perform preventive and atraumatic restorations.
